Clear aligners

Invisalign straightens teeth with a series of clear plastic aligners made to fit your mouth. Each set moves your teeth a little, and you switch to the next set every week or two until your teeth reach their planned position.

Because the aligners are clear, most people will not notice you are wearing them. You take them out to eat, brush, and floss, so there are no food restrictions and no brackets or wires to clean around. Straighter teeth are also easier to keep clean, which helps your gums and teeth stay healthy.

Is this right for you?

  • Your teeth are crowded, crooked, or have gaps.
  • You have a mild to moderate bite problem.
  • You had braces before and your teeth have shifted.
  • You want to straighten your teeth without metal braces.

Common questions

How long does Invisalign take?
It depends on how much your teeth need to move. Many cases take around a year, and simpler cases can be shorter.
Does it hurt?
You may feel pressure for a day or two when you start a new set. That means the aligners are working.
Can I eat normally?
Yes. You take the aligners out to eat and drink anything other than water, then brush before putting them back in.
